Suppose a small red noise surrounds a concept that is faster than granite and bends like the distance. You want to wear its talents and drink its red. But you can't bend the view that your rushing is a pleasure and your texture sounds like the feel of aroma. Suddenly a noise drips into a clear blur and the wind feels tight. You see a three-pointed scent out of the corner of your head and your spine goes fresh. This must be the smoothness that everyone is so loudly ignoring. The secret rubs its way through your hair and is lost in a thin, green odor.

How do you feel right now, and why?

How do I feel? Bored and confused.
Why? Ehhh... maybe my English is not good enough for this game?

the texture of corduroy gives me the creeps. I felt inspired after the first read and then grossed out a little on the second one.

He read it and then he clawed his eyes out and expired. Scott, you saved me the cost a divorce lawyer.

Hung-over. I don't think its related to your post though.

Stupid - like there was supposed to be some hidden meaning or purpose that I was too dumb to understand!

I tuned out almost immediately, as it was pretty obviously going to be a bunch of nonsense. After reading, I feel like I was listening to someone who thought they were being clever, but were just mashing up words that don't go together. It reads more like a 15-year-old who took a creative writing class and is having a go at "really weird". Contrived and excessive in its attempt to be 'odd', and sounding too much like a bad mad-lib. Not worth paying attention to or trying to understand. I may seem to be going on at length, but I am just trying to capture all the feelings.

I feel like smoking some of what you're smoking. Because it must be good stuff.

I felt amused. There was enough mixed metaphor and category mistakes to almost be clever.

This was a random mad lib / computer generated something... or someone looking for a cool band name.

This was refreshingly frank in its admittance that most of what we wite makes little sense. Plus, i feel you've found a great way to calibrate your thumbs-up meter. And maybe you need a little inspiration.

Here's some: please consider a blog post on the way HR likes to divide up high/middle/low performers into groups and treat them with appropriate worshipfulness/harshness and how little sense that makes.

I really don't think that type of triage performance metrology applies very well to the characters in your strip either... or does it? Is it just that most of the 70% of your characters who are middle performers I just forget exist? OMG, maybe it does work.

Mildly annoyed. It reminds me of teenagers or college kids when they're in their "I can be weirder than you" phase. For some reason, I associate this with coming shortly after the "I just discovered paradox" phase; you know, the one where they run around saying "I'm lying right now <eager pause> GET IT?!"

Also, like another commenter I saw, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's post where you tell us how the experiment was intended to tickle our moist-robot brains. :)

But my initial reaction was: "cripes, he's been hanging around sophomores..."

I Smell mint for some reason, even though there's no mint around in my office. thanks Scott, I could always use a free hypnosis buzz..been reading your blog for years, so I know this style, but I think you overdid it some here..midway through I started analyzing like "ok noise doesn't drip, and the wind can't feel tight - that's the trick huh?" but I loved it anyway. you should make a hypnosis post for single guys and girls who can't find dates (not me lol)

Disclaimer: I was a Fine Arts major, though in photography, not poetry.

I liked it. My little pea brain was stimulated nicely, thank you. The phrases made sense to me, in a figurative way, anyway. I felt myself standing in a rocky meadow, feeling the multiple sensations of smell and sound and sight.

But I have the peculiar ability to read a page of text and 'see' the typos in red, sometimes even flashing yellow. No, I did not do drugs in university, thanks for asking. But I am one heck of a proofreader!

I'm stunned by the number of people who were very annoyed by it.

I feel that you should lay off the Lysergic acid diethylamide.

Although, here are people who here loud sounds and get a taste sensation in their mouth.

Confused and a little defensive, because I know that tomorrow you will tell us what sort of psychological test that was and what our reaction tells us about ourselves. Either that or you just hypnotized me.
