I blog on a variety of topics. I'm wondering which ones interest you the most.

1.      Future (robots, technology, healthcare, etc.)

2.      New business ideas (apps, inventions, services)

3.      Management bullshit

4.      Success tricks and tips

5.      Personal health

6.      Psychology (hypnosis, cognitive bias, illusions, affirmations)

7.      Politics

8.      World events

9.      The startup I'm working on

10.  Humor (silly stories usually about my life)

11.  Metaphysics (hologram reality, religion, meaning of life)

I ask because I usually hear "stop doing that" more than I hear "do more of that" so I have an imbalanced idea of what people prefer.

P.S.: Oh, and your success tips are surprisingly good. I've been giving your idea about always saying "excellent" when someone asks "how are you" a try and it does help!

10, 4, 3, 5, 7 in descending order.

I love it when you do humor. Back when most of your posts were humorous takes on the news or things happening in your life, this blog used to be one of the funniest things on the whole Internet. Now that so much of the focus is on your futuristic predictions, it's not nearly as enjoyable as it used to be. Sorry, but you asked for our opinions.

You have a rare gift for humor, Scott. It's your blog and of course you can do whatever you want, but I think you should use your gift.

[Some explanation on why I don't always use humor in the blog: Society's definition of humor changes every decade or so. Humor used to be a jokey pattern with a setup and a punch line. In the seventies it evolved into more of a shock-me situation. Now it's more reality-based. You'll see in the comments from others that my topic choices have been less important than the approach I take to them. The "approach" is a hybrid of dry humor and simplified analysis that work well together. It's a preview of where humor is heading. You might not laugh out loud at the idea that someday you will be having robot sex, but it tickles the same part of your brain.

By way of context, The Daily Show brilliantly combines all three types of humor: old-timey jokes, shock-me, and reality-based. That's why it has such a wide appeal across generations. -- Scott]

If I had to rank them, then probably

1 - Humor (silly stories usually about my life)
2 - Management bull....
with
Psychology (hypnosis, cognitive bias, illusions, affirmations)
and
Metaphysics (hologram reality, religion, meaning of life)
tied for third.

Curiously enough, pretty much the same mix that I read Dilbert (including Principle et al), and the God's Debris/Religion War books!

But mostly I think I read for your writing style, and the way it makes me think. I have no problem really what you want to blog about, so long as you keep doing it the way you've been doing it!

Dear Scott, whenever someone asks you to stop doing something, please remember that you have a long list of followers that never make any comments. The people commenting your blog posts do not represent the vast majority. Just look at how many people that are silently objecting to this post right now.

When trying to select one topic that I would like you to blog more about, I've found my self thinking that all of the topics are good. What makes this blog extra interesting is that I never know what will be the topic of the day, it's something of a random madness :-)

I like the ones where you comment on your own post while pretending to be someone else. But then I guess that doesn't really narrow it down.

For my taste, not metaphysics, politics or world events (they tend to be unsatisfying), but whatever is personally the most interesting to you is most likely to be the most interesting to me.

None of the above.

I'd like to see you blog about whatever ranks the highest on the interesting/funny/entertaining meter. If you have a really interesting post about South American Turtles and a sort of interesting post about management, I'd rather read the really interesting post.

The only specific area I'd like to see more about (which isn't listed here) is the myriad ways in which perfectly normal people are completely insane.

Management !$%*!$%*! Politics, Metaphysics, in this order.
Until now I had not noticed different topics, I think the attitude, style are more important.

It is precisely because you write on a multitude of topics that I always read and enjoy your blog. I do not always agree, but I always enjoy your perspective. You are just a little bid odd, like me.

I don't want to restrict you. I enjoy reading whatever falls out of your head. :)

Write whatever you want to write - it's *your* blog.

Future, Management !$%*!$%* and Humor is what I like about your writing.

On contrary stories about Politics and Personal health are mostly uninteresting and not worth spending time on.
