Still, a hilarious, original golf joke. I find it amazing how much Dilbert has changed in twenty-one years. It's like a completely different strip now.

WARNING: REDUNTANT EXPLANATION TO FOLLOW....see Storm, the joke was that golfer's where plaid coloured pants and they lie alot, mostly about their scores, and whether or not they took appropriate penalty strokes.... so Dogbert was joking that the gene they found which is related to people loving golf had these same properties. So no pun, just a straightforward "I'm about to give you some actual facts setup, and no I'm not really punchline" combination joke.
