I sit there and hold it until there are no more people even in my line of sight. Most people have Dilberts view on me doing this.

Unless there is someone immediately behind me, I typically don't look behind me, because if I see someone, I feel like I'm obligated to stand there waiting for them. So, as long as no one is right behind me through the door, I will not glance back, but will drag my hand all the way along the door as I walk through it, holding it open for anyone who might actually be there, without actually stopping :P.

Love this one, and hate those situations. I'll usually just speed up my walk A LITTLE but that's all. I like how this one shows the other perspective, there was earlier strip about Dilbert deciding to hold or not hold the door for somebody who was too far back.

Being polite raises morality but degrades efficiency,And that efficiency might be better fine tuned toward other things.
