What many people missinterpret is that they believe Bob to be going after Dilbert in the last frame.. He is going after the person Dilbert is talking to, in order to save Dilbert from even more frustration. Remember; Dilbert is the levelheaded computer engineer, who is surrounded by nitwits in the story.

True the computer itself is completely logical. Everything it does runs by written instructions that are always the same.It is the human builder that is an idiot and confusing. ;[
