@histerik: Enough with this b******t about tax cuts to the rich: the top 10% of all taxpayers in the US pay about 90% of all the taxes. I don't know if you've heard of a thing called "logic", but it dictates that the more money YOU have, the more money YOU can spend which goes to businesses which hire people to produce the things YOU buy. Thus the more YOU buy, the more money businesses have to hire people to produce the things YOU buy. It's a little thing called supply-side economics. Try looking it up, assuming you have a high-enough IQ to comprehend it. Oh, and by the way, the left in this country calls you rich if you make $250,000 or more - That's exactly the same number they were using in 1969! $250,000 is middle class. Period. End of story.

I'm amazed that histerik has ever heard about the concepts of wit and logic.

Nut wasn't saying he doesn't like Australia; he was expressing his sorrow that you can call yourself Australian, because, normally, they are intelligent, decent people. Sadly, histerik, you have merely proved Nut's (and everyone else's) point, being that both your wit and logic are unbearably low and therefore you don't have "the best response." Ever.

AAA-OK does not mean everything is perfect - just the the best. In the current United Nations Human Development Index Norway came 1st with a score of 0.971, Australia came 2nd with a score of 0.970, Iceland came 3rd with .969 {despite the volcanoes & financial chaos}, Canada 4th .966, Ireland 5th .965. The US came lucky 13th with .956 just behind Finland on .959. This index is based on Life Expectancy, Education, Adult Literacy, School Enrollment & per-capita GDP.
On top of that we have one of the fairest & most equitable tax regimes in the world. Australians got big tax cuts for those at the bottom of the income scale while President Bush gave massive tax cuts to the rich. Hence my comment.
I think Australia is the best place in the Solar System. I'm sorry you don't think so. Loosen up & enjoy life. As for expletives, expunge them from your vocabulary. It's always sad to watch people who have to resort to them because they can't control their anger. Disappointment is never worth an expletive. Wit & logic are the best response.

histerik, expletives would not be enough to express my disappointment in finding out you are Australian! And thinking that everything is okay here is one of the stupidest things you have ever said (which is saying a lot).
