I have Asperger's Syndrome, and it's like heaven, i can be socially awkward and have an excuse! :D

You can laugh with Dilbert or at Dilbert. If his dysfunction is yours, you do one; if his dysfunction is like some weirdo you know, you do the other. Certainly there are many people who experience social awkwardness like Dilbert, and certainly there are people too socially adept to ever stumble over something as trivial as when/how to make eye contact.

I think the point Scott is trying to make is that most people experience the same little social dilemmas Dilbert encounters to a certain degree. Oftentimes they are things that we do subconsciously, without ever realizing it.

Overanalyzing social behavior to the point it makes you nervous is a symptom of Asperger's Syndrome.
