manivel_gk, you mispelt the mispelling.

Scott spelt it "Ghandi". You spelt it "Ghandhi".

To extend on what vonderhsg was saying, Shakespeare's name was spelled any number of ways during his lifetime, even in his native London. Various critics have used different spellings at different times, before it became standardized as Shakespeare. Variants include "Shakspeare," "Shakespear," and even "Shackspear" and "Shaxpere."

Well, "Ghandi", plus the depiction in panel 3, managed to convey the reference, and all variants of the name in English would be transliterations from the Gujarati, so I think some leeway is acceptable. And remember, one of the greatest writers spelt Shakespeare's name incorrectly!

Comics are typically hand-drawn and inked. It might be a bit difficult to go in and change it.
