I remember seeing video-phones advertised in the '90s (when I was about 10 years old) and wondering why anybody would buy a video-phone when, more than likely, not a single other person they knew owned one. It seems I wasn't the only person who found that puzzling...

I remember when AT&T was advertising the first video phones, shortly before the long distance wars.

Nah, plenty of people talked about videophones in the late 80's and early 90's..just like virtual reality. Scott sometimes is but in this instance wasn't before his time. It's just the world lagging behind.
