Strips

PHB believes that females know this stuff already. That is not to say that some other boss in the company didn't believe otherwise. Let's face it, none of the managers in this company talk to each other beyond talking about how nice their hair is.

Then again, if everyone in the room falls into the same category as the engineers in terms of cute/smart spectrum this means it may be hard to say that other divisions are even involved in the seminar.

While that is true, look at the height of the picture in the 2nd frame, then look at where he's pointing in the third. It's basically impossible to tell, other than we assume that straight line is the picture (which is way too low looking at this one)

Look at the angle of the stick, it's noticably lower in panel 3 comapred to panel 2. But then again it is still high enough to make it ambiguous. This bit is done in the tv-series, and I'm almost positive he labels them ugly-smart there. But then again the comic and the cartoon have contradict each other on other topics when a strip was adapted for tv. Dogbert has called Dilbert stupid directly and indirectly on numerous occasions, but he would probably admit that Dilbert is smart compared to the general average.

But more importantly, THERE IS A FEMALE IN THE GROUP! (Dilbert's right first, panel.) And females were supposed to know this stuff already!
