@jysix; Totally agree. As a female engineer I've constantly been told this 75cents bull. In reality, they compare ALL women and ALL men across all job types. These studies have not considered the types of jobs (as well as considerations for casual and part-time vs full-time) that women hold. Not to say that there is significantly less women in higher engineering positions, but there are many factors to consider in that regard. These blanket extremist claims really sets the TRUE feminist (based on equality, not beneficial treatment) movement back about 20 years.
Bosses will pay EVERYONE as little as they can, regardless of them being female or male.
The strip is 12 years old now but is still as valid. Still feminists use indiscriminate average salaries as an argument and turn it into: “Women earn less for the same work†, what is just not true.
If Women would really do the same work for less money, why would any boss be so stupid to hire a man?
