Actually, Gary Larson said he felt bad when he received complaints after he showed a male mosquito returning from a day of biting people: readers reminded him that only female mosquitoes bite. Of course, as Larson pointed out, it's perfectly acceptable that the mosquitoes speak English, live in houses, etc.
