Has a similar situation with a friend, she was telling our group how incompetent our poor, teenage barista was because she wouldn't serve something the coffee house didn't offer. She was telling the story loudly and since I go there all the time I had to loudly tell her that she was being absurd and that it wasn't the barista's fault.
Ohman, there's nothing quite like the discomfort you get when your date tells a story about someone and you realize her victim was a much nicer person than she is.
