The funny thing is that in reality girls will usually prefer guys who acts like Dilbert in this situation over guy who immediately take off his coat and give it to her.
Although it would be best to offer her to join him under that coat. ;-)
You can offer your coat to some girls, they refuse it then complain 10 seconds later about being cold. The irrational nature of the whole thing always amazes me...
He's supposed to offer her his coat. Girls sometimes purposefully leave their coats at home to give the man an opportunity to be a gentleman and offer his coat. It's a trap, but one we spring for your benefit. If you beat the trap you are, "The sweetest guy ever!" if not...
