That doesn't make sense, with Dilbert saying "You are". Did it have Dilbert saying "I am" instead?

Actually, Scott Adams said he never created the original version everybody is referring to. He said that so many people edited it and posted it on the web that people assumed Adams wrote that.

I can't believe they changed this. I too have the original - hung on to it for years ... until coffee got splashed on it. Can online to re-find it and print it out. What's the deal??? So not funny.

Different words would have different advantages, but consider that the present dialog captures how PHB has perverted the role of a leader. Which is to say, he chooses to identify his leadership as such specifically when he is being oppressive. It's a very good example of the ambiguous middle ground between cruelty and cluelessness that PHB represents.
