For clarification to those in need of it: in medicine 'evidence' is, say, a group of 200 people tested in a double-blind placebo trial got better, 'anecdotal evidence' - someone my hairdressers mum met in a pub told he thought it had helped. Also those I was feeling sick and then I saw a cow on the pasture and after an hour I was feeling better so it must be because of the smell of cows - type stories.

I'm not sure tech support always knows best. When I asked about this problem, they told me to unplug my computer and I wouldn't get any more viruses. But I couldn't tell if it worked.

Sillies. "Anecdotal evidence" is a total spoof on chiropractic care... notice what Dogbert has told her to do with the power cord?
