I assumed, until last panel, that the spelling was meant to be ironic.

As ventifact links, maestro can be a conductor of an orchestras. The strip should make sense to you now if it didn't before.

Maestro means Teacher in spanish and possibly italian but im not quiet sure

Genious seems to be a misspelling of Genius. Maestro is probably a type of music (music isn't me area), might also be a misspelling of mistro (which I've probably misspelled also).
