Of course there's a logical explanation. Scott couldn't be bothered. It's a comic strip, not art class. He's Scott Adams, a comic genius with pertinent observations of being an engineer in an office environment. He's not Leonardo da Vinci.
And the scenario he "paints" above is eerily accurate, even if he doesn't paint it as well as all the art critics in the comments.
Out of the 6 comments, only one of them is actually about the strip. Well, I'm going to change that! Today's strip is really...yellow....That's all I got. That and the door disappears.
By the way, even if there had been a change in perspective, you would still see the door because PHB is standing within the door frame. I'm looking at you, GS.
