This actually happened to my department a few years ago (around the time of this strip I think) some PHB put the spreadsheet on a shared network drive that EVERYONE had access to. No only the current sallaries were on it, but the intended bonuses and raises as well! That caused all manner of discontent.
@ Andrameda: Richard D. James (stage name Aphex Twin) has twisted his face into creepier grins than that. Look up the covers of his albums "Richard D. James Album," "I Care Because You Do," "Come to Daddy", "Windowlicker", "Donkey Rhubarb", and to top it off, the "Aphex Twin face" he hid in the sonogram of his own music.
