I've had times when I called tech support knowing what the problem was and how to fix but unable to do so due to lack of permissions and they didn't understand what I was saying, even I when I put it in "can't be simpler" terms.

I used to work in internet support.. sometimes I couldn't make it any simpler.. and they still didn't understand.

I love doing this to coworkers. Albeit in a more innocent, less condescending way... But it's still fun when you give a simple instruction acting like they will know what you're talking about then blinking at each other for a few seconds of awkward silence.

"What we've got here is... failure to communicate."
