Woh! What is this thing?!
This is a social bar from the Dilbert team and our friends at Meebo. It is a cool little feature we've added to Dilbert to make sharing comic strips, Mashups and other content, a simple click of the mouse from any page.
Try it out – use the buttons to instantly send the next funny comic you read to your Facebook status or your Twitter feed. We’re adding even more ways to share soon, so check this space often!
We had something exactly like this in our office, when our boss started inviting us daily to a "10 Minutes Huddle" everyday. It wasn't much of a problem, except it never was 10 minutes and was a dump ground of how the boss feels our work should be done.
I'm a freshman in high school and this reminds me a lot of my "advisory" class. Four days a week they take 20 minutes out of our lunch period so we can sit in a classroom and play a game or talk about "bullying" (which by the way I have never actually seen happen and I'm pretty sure is an urban legend) or do something like that. I thing they say the Idea is to give freshmen a sense of "belonging" in high school but if that's their objective they should give us more lunch to socialize. Anyway, sorry for the rant this comic really hits home for me.
This reminds me of when I worked for a bank that had daily "motivational moments" for all the employees. It was supposed to inspire a feeling of teamwork & leave people with positive attitudes about their jobs, but really all it did was waste more time that could have been spent on being productive. I wish I could've put this strip up on my desk back then...
