John the stupid, I would say to speak for yourself, because everybody else likes the new format, AND you can go to www.dilbert.com/fast, but now I believe you're not entitled to an opinion

What's the big deal? I'm using Win XP Pro and Firefox 3 on broadband, and if I want to save a strip, I just right-click on it like any other image, choose 'Save Image As' from the drop-down menu and it shows up as a gif where I specified the save location (usually just to my desktop). If you prefer jpg format, just append .jpg to the strip's file name before clicking Ok in the save dialog box.

To email a strip, rilght-click and select 'Send as', and it opens up a new email message (MS Outlook 2007) with the strip's URL in the text. Just add the email addresses of the recipients and off it goes....

Why don't all you 'experts' get a clue?

Hi, I just registered only so I can complain about the Catbert changes you have introduced.
Just how many negative comments does it take to make you put this website back the way it was?
This is really a truly NEGATIVE HORRIBLE experience now.
It is Tediously Difficult to navigate, Slow to load, not at all fun like the original site.
The previous version was much faster to load too.
We ALL propose you should abandon trying to "PIMP UP" this site up and go back to basics
Please strip out ALL that boring Flash Nonsense and KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid)
By the way the GIF generator you are using produces terrible quantisation noise in between the main lines, it looks like you are using MS Paint? Yeugh! Pittooie!

To get the comic to share ...

1. Click "Embed" under the comic
2. In the popup box, highlight the string starting with "http" and ending with ".gif" (it's the string of the "src")
3. Hit Ctrl-C
4. Paste the string into the URL address widget in your browser
5. Hit Enter on your keyboard
6. And there it is, all ready to download and save to disk.

Sorry, but this website is no good to me. I can't share great comics any more.

Guess you felt you had to control the $$, but it just is no fun for the
end-user.

Sincerely,
