Strips

Unfortunately, I have low expectations of the company hired to do the colouring (Scott doesn't do it himself). In my head the pool is red. Quite frankly, I wish the strips were still in black and white, except maybe the Sunday strips.

My only objection (if you want to call it that) is that they're all in a pit of blue substance in the last frame, and it needs to be a more "dangerous" color, like red or pea soup green. I just don't get a sense that the pointy-haired group are in any danger, other than the pitchfork that's entering the picture.

Nowadays, English generally expresses grammatical relationships between words through word order (subject - verb - object), not by inflections as say Latin does. This was not always the case and inflections which once were necessary aren't really any more. In this example, it is obvious what is meant. Since there is now little need for a distinction between "who" (subject) and "whom" (direct and indirect object), the language is gradually getting rid of them. This happens in spoken language before it happens in written language, and in US English before UK English.
