This is a recycled joke. A few years back, and forgive me for not having the full reference, the finance trolls denied Dilbert's expense report because company policy required Dilbert to stun a pigeon with his briefcase on the way to the hotel, then fry it on his travel iron. Final panel had Dilbert complaining that it was taking too long and the troll replied with the helpful comment "Try the wool setting."
