Woh! What is this thing?!
This is a social bar from the Dilbert team and our friends at Meebo. It is a cool little feature we've added to Dilbert to make sharing comic strips, Mashups and other content, a simple click of the mouse from any page.
Try it out – use the buttons to instantly send the next funny comic you read to your Facebook status or your Twitter feed. We’re adding even more ways to share soon, so check this space often!
1.)Back from hospital, painful bowel obstruction, overcame adversity, again, without pain medications this time , a plus
2.)In second panel, Asok grabs his tie in semi-erotic way upon (mistaken) realization he has power over what should be an educated, attractive woman.
3.)I loved the way he was drawn in third panel, almost like Martin Balsam's character in "Little Big Man".
4.)I'm sure Scott has no way of knowing this as strip was drawn months or weeks in advance, we're having a controversy in Dallas right now because some students were pitted against each other in caged fights by teachers during school hours. So that strip was a little raw for some readers.
Actually, I think the O/Q temp showed a lot of restraint, up until Asok foolishly challenged her to the "cage fight." I think that would push ANYONE over the edge.
I personally would like to see Alice and the Temp go to elbonia and get into a wrestling match in the mud. Or he could get an affair going between the temp and pointy haired boss where she becomes the puppet master and he is the puppet. Or Dilbert could recognize a kindred spirit in the pursuit of futility. Either way the mud would be the most interesting. I wonder what Alice looks like in a thong bikini.
I think Alice will recognize a fellow alpha, although if the temp gives her any lip she will surely be put down. I have the personal experience of being an overqualified temp to try to put food on the table while looking for a "real" job. In real life, people like Asok do not recognize the overqualified's obvious superiority. They are usually astounded to find out you are looking for a job better than their's.
