This strip is incredibly funny and yet so true
My previous job was with a big bank (in india). Along with retail banking we were also offering various financial services where I worked . The bank came out with a 10 year investment plan which "guaranteed" 60% returns per year from the 6th year to 10th year the "guarantee" being based on vague projections binding clauses and complex permutations and combinations. In short inside we guys knew for sure the fund was not going to perform anywhere close to what it was promising. At the same time recession hit in and the stock exchange crashed from around 23000 to 9000. The bank decides this is the best time to increase our sales targets telling us to make people invest heavily in our "guaranteed" scheme stating it is the safest one to be in and I quote my boss "make sure u get every client, family member & friend to invest in our highly lucrative investment plan hence securing there future in these highly troubled times.
What stinked even more was that my boss was retiring at the end of the year.
