Nothing quite like jealousy and ignorance to make a work place interesting. We had a GS-4 clerk who managed to squeal how she was doing the job of a GS-5 that retired. Naturally she got a GS-5 because she pulled the heart strings of some bozo Colonel. Of course after she got the GS-5 her work did not improve, in fact she told me that she doesn't make copies. Now I know it sounds arrogant, but just what does a clerk do?
