ROB Bert beat me to saying it, but here goes anyway: since when does Dilbert can afford to diss a woman that's even remotely interested in him? Yesterday's strip was essentially the same joke but I liked it way better.
Also, part of the appeal of the Dilbert character is that he has often been the "everyman" pitted, unwillingly perhaps, against the forces of PHB's , dogs and garbagemen that are smarter, women who make a religion out of not dating him and lazy or angry coworkers. Here, he's one of them, instead of one of "us."
The other day I mentioned that Dilbert was getting edgier, but here he's just rude and mean. Rude and mean aren't funny to me, unless their antagonists are also rude and mean.
Also, this is the first time I ever saw a woman ask Dilbert to call her. Does he have that many prospects that he can afford to alienate attractive women?
