I work for an employer who a few months ago put out a survey asking what we want more of. Naturally most people said money. A week ago we got the results of the survey, in which we were told we would get an extra quarterly bonus, a rather small amount altogether, but in the same announcement they said they'd no longer offer paid time off.
Just goes to say be careful what you ask for and don't answer those company surveys!
Happiness for me was discovering that not all companies are like Dilbert's workplace (although most likely are)...
I must be one of the luckiest workers around. The company where I work pays me well, values my and my teammates' opinions, goes above and beyond to make sure we're taken care of, and offers work that is both challenging and rewarding. I wish all companies acted like this towards their employees!
