Actually Roman, in Britain many French, Latin, or Greek words retain their original -re spelling, in America however, the correct form of the word uses the -er spelling. So both are correct depending on where you live, and given that most of the people here are Americans (as you pointed out) the -er spelling would be the most appropriate
Too bad, Roman, too many Americans here. They don't even realise they spell everything wrong. And the date thing - that's slipped over into Canada, but I still will do it right!
"No more people correcting spelling of having an issue with whether its an acronym or an idiotism (or what ever). "
If Americans can't spell (or get the date in the correct order - even American friends think that is crazy) then of course you need to be corrected - the word is SABRE, not saber.
I suspect that the hari-kiri comment was actually posted by an American.....
No more people correcting spelling of having an issue with whether its an acronym or an idiotism (or what ever). I think I speak for many of us here in saying, Rpetras & nelkins "Get a BLOG you two".
90% of the people that read this strip are from the US. If you feel the need to insult us with your elitist "as many Americans think", at least give us some idea of what country you are from so i can start hating it. Thanks.....
Thanks for the feedback. Might there be a way to design it so that the two beams entirely cancel out each other? Wish we could get together to discuss more. Do not think the arc plasma angle is practical either. Of course, both energy sources might be too big to carry -- not unless powered by a Tesla tower!
