radhead: the sale guy and the customer had a bet before hand that the sales guy couldn't get his engineer to put a bag on his head during the meeting. In other words, Dilbert got played like a cheap violin.

Sorry, I don't get it. Is the guy on the left a customer, or a competing sales person? And what kind of bet is he talking about?

He proved that he really is "Best Sales Guy". I think he has earned a permanent place in this strip.
