Nice. So now all Dilbert needs to do is to request more information and feign frantic work and following up the info, to meet the deadline.
If by some miracle they respond before the deadline, ask another question.
Asking questions are the perfect way to pretend to be efficient and working hard.

Wally's answer to this would be to do as little as possible and enjoy his coffee looking out the window. The PHB is clueless anyway, so why put forth the effort?
