Travlis, I think if somebody seriously get the wrong idea about engineers based on this comic strip they have other problems that do not respond well to medical treatment...

I know that Wally is only a cartoon character. However .... many non-engineers read this comic and might get a wrong opinion about engineers because of Wally-character.

In a Dilbert comic strip, of course not. The Dilbert strip wouldn't be even be half as good without a Wally.

A real life Wally is something different. If he's not doing his work, someone else gets stuck with it.

@KauaiMark: Certainly your story is quite interesting and you made a good decision, but nevertheless there's a part I don't get too well:

"Wally is most of the time wrong about refusing to do the job?". You'd like him to work (and hard)? So as to support the company?
