"Cloud" reminds me most of "W2K". You say "Cloud Computing" to an executive and their eyes glaze and they sign whatever PO you put in front of them. They have no idea what it is, but they have been told that they want it.
I was wondering how Scott remains so current and relevant. Then I realised that the situations are timeless, it's just the buzzwords that change. Yep, the above is happening as we speak in our organisation. I think the PHBs were also seduced by the fact that the particular 'cloud' 'solution' had 'sales' in it's name.
