Actually, this is exactly how the fashion industry works.
About the time that the average population starts to grasp a concept, the initial capital pulls out.
Probably true in lots of other industries, too.

In Japan, we refer to starting something at that stage as buying into "used chewing gum".

Is it me or is PHB getting smarter lately? Even Dilbert admits that PHB starts to understand concepts.

One of my bosses was an engineer. He never understood the concept of an answer. He always said, "I'll think about it." I'm sure he's still thinking about all the questions I asked, even a year after my retirement.
