Apollo holds the Earth. Dilbert should ask the guy to brink him a cup of coffee - chances are he would leave and never come back.
About strip from Friday. The attack was strong, Dilbert's response was weak.
Many suggested for Dilbert to ask for explanation immediately - BIG MISTAKE. First, you do not give up your presentation to hecklers. Second, that if the attack comes just at and of meeting with no time to listen to new idea? And why Dilbert shall put himself into a difficult position of replying on the spot?
What would be a better response? Something with humor,or sarcasm, like: "Or course you do. We all know you are the smartest person in the world !?."
Even more, ask the audience: "Please lift hands who thinks this guy is the smartest person in the world."
"An important scientist was giving a lecture on astronomy. After the lecture, an elderly lady came up and told the scientist that he had it all wrong. 'The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise." The scientist asked "And what is the turtle standing on?"
To which the lady triumphantly replied: "You're very clever, young man, but it's no use -- it's turtles all the way down."
