Xerxes ; No it really is not and since you are so dead certain that this would be the .only., I guess we have to add "you=stupid" to the list of possible explanations.. but from the long list of possible explanations to why you don't get it, let's assume there is some part of the equation you are not aware of.. a "low hanging fruit" can often be used as a reference at something that is "easy picking".. anyone should be able to "get it" (either achieve or understand) without any difficoulties.. the bet was- as the high-rated comment suggested- "PHB couldn't get low hanging fruit even if it smacked him right in the face"

Well I see from the comments I was way off. I didn't fully get it, but at first I thought this was a "apple doesn't fall far from the tree" reference.

I had a boss who used to constantly say "Low Hanging Fruit". I dont think he knew what it meant.
