We had this. Work had to be contained within a taped-off area on the desk. The tape was to be green, 1" wide, and the dimensions of the area were not to exceed regulation. I'm not kidding. The newest one they rolled out was "Only one project allowed out on the desk at one time." Sure enough, the monthly audit rolled by and I was cited for "clutter", complete with a violation notice that I had to sign acknowledging that I was in violation. "Why is my current work deemed clutter?" "Should not have been there" was the answer I got. Asinine. Just asinine.
