Does anyone think Wally might once have been like Asok? That was until the realization set in that carrying out one mind numbing task after another, for ones entire working life, was not a recipe for job satisfaction.

i think everyone in corporate comes to that kind of enlightenment sooner or later.except for ones on the top.

Asok, you've been an intern - and have demonstrated your brilliance - for how many years? And now you are just now realizing that thinking - or demonstrating integrity - is futile?
Better late than never, I suppose. But you will never be eligible for public office.
