When Voyager 2 did it's flyby of Uranus, the news announcer said, "Voyager 2 will be flying by Your-ran-nus, and yes, that is the way we are pronouncing it now..." He did not look impressed.
Personally, I think it just makes you sound like a dirty Englishman.
Changing the way Uranus is pronounced is a perfect example of pacifying morons instead of telling them to grow up. And what did changing the way we pronounce Uranus get us?
While talking may not work for Dilbert, listening definately doesn't work for the PHB. These days it should be called "the black ski mask" or perhaps the "black hoodie".....perhaps Dilbert's company should come up with a pop-up ad which can only be erased when you reboot your computer - the infamy of that should create all sorts of attention for them....
The problem is not taking black hat as a single phrase rather than picking out words to
pretend outrage over. Black hat has a rich heritage in the theatre with a bad guy like Simon
Legree with a tall stove pipe hat putting the aged widow out of her house for non payment
of the mortgage. In silent westerns White Hat Hero Black Hat Bad guy. In a rare black western
this was also true. This is what the PHB is referring to, crooked methods to raise websites
standing. Like stuffing the ballot box Chicago style or running your finger over a unmarked ballot
and saying the voter really meant to vote for your candidate.
