Maybe PHB can call Asok to use his telekinesis powers to 'poof!' the asteroid (explains his optimism...but why on earth can't asok do that to the PHB...beats me :-?) ;)

The life span of a Chief Executive Optimist is long, and sweet -- Because he has an unlimited number of pawns to throw in the path of the asteroid and, ultimately, because he swims in the same circles as the other predators.

But sometimes the pawns can get really cool-sounding titles and other ego-percs to blind them to what's coming.

My keen sense of reasoning deduces that the average lifespan of an optimist is far less than what the average optimist estimates his or her lifespan will be.

And for my simple yet brilliant insight I'll probably get close to 100 thumbs up, if not more. I am quite sure of that.

They only reason they would choose the demise of an opponent rather than royalty payments is:
1) The product won't sell anyway.
2) Dilbert's company is on the verge of insolvency.
3) Let's not open the "look-and-feel" can of worms again.
4) All of the above.
