red33410: He occupied the cubicle next to mine for two years. He was looking for excuses not to give me a promotion. He even told me that my past experience didn't matter. I asked him if that was the case did he put his past experience on his resume. He didn't answer. I retired a year later.
Boss: I have no idea what you do!
Me: Isn't it your job to know that?
Boss: You do nothing as far as I can see.
Me: How is that?
Boss: I only see you stuff your face with food in the morning and read the paper at noon.
Me: Like you do on your breaks?
Boss: That's beside the point.
Me: Why is that "beside the point?"
Boss: Because I'm the boss and what I say goes.
Me: Fine.
(I walked out.)
For the next two weeks I sent a cc. to him of everything I did. He apologized after ten days, but I gave him another four days just for the pleasure of it (His, of course, not mine).
