Wally is a Jedi, sort of the equivalent of Yoda, Instead of waving his hand to command the PHB to run into the wall, he uses y8his coffee cup. That's why you never see him with out it. Kind of like a magic wand.
I understand there is a move in martial arts where your opponent's energy is used to propel them away from you as a defensive move. Wally manages to do this simply by talking to the PHB without even touching him. The Master speaks - wow.....
