I believe it counts the spam messages that are removed, at least initially. As of posting, it says 4 comments, but only 2 are in the list. I do like the thought behind PHB's comment, but he's not quite correct. How can he be lying if he doesn't say anything?

Yup the "comment counter" is really POOCHED!I see two comments(this comment included-yet posted), though it says "3 Comments"?
