Since when did "libertarian" = "nutcase"? Since "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" was altered to "life, fascism and the pursuit of happiness", I suppose.

@CustomDesigned

Ron Paul's position has been constant and other then one or two of his personal views that conflict he sticks to his principles*. When you look at him, unless you're a libertarian** yourself then it's hard not to think the guy is just a bit crazy/idealistic, however that is a side point. I'd say that Ron Paul is likeable and stick to principled, I just have MAJOR doubts about those principles them-self and believe them to be insane.

* Ron Paul is pro-life but to be in-line with his libertarian stance he says it's a decision that each state should decide itself. It's a far better stance then most of the other GoP candidates take on the issue.

** AKA a nut case.

The thing is, this corrupt politician is likeable, even in the cartoon. He is not totally selfish, and is perfectly happy to spread (taxpayer) largess around. Some politicians are as selfish as they are corrupt, and I suspect that vote fraud is how they get re-elected. On the other hand, a crusader that sticks to principle would probably come off as annoying, and maybe a little crazy. I wonder if it's possible for a politician to be likeable *and* stick to principle.

As long as corrupt politicians go, I 'll admit I like this one.
