Before the Internet and wireless networks, flaky coworkers used to tell flimsy stories like, "I swear I called and left a message on your machine, maybe it's not working." That was stupid.

Now with the Internet and other checkable technology, those flakes have no chance of getting away with lying, so they just disappear or pretend to not know you. That's creepy.

If PHB was a woman the conversation went:

"if you really loved me, you would have known, I want you to reschedule that installation date."

Sadly Dilbert will get dinged for this in his yearly performance review because no one would risk himself by challenging the word of a manager.
