40 years ago, I was briefing an explorer re possible ice conditions in Bering Strait for a trip he was planning. One danger he mentioned was, when peeing in really cold weather, a stalagmite can form rapidly and, if you don't change your angle of dangle, you may find yourself anchored.

Another polar explorer from that same era, Wally Herbert, was asked by a reporter, "how do you go to the toilet in the Arctic?" Wally replied, "very quickly!"

Too bad he didn't carry any hot coffee in a thermos in case he needed a quick release. (from the guardrail that is).

The winter has been mild for those of us in the Continental United States so I am wondering where they are? North Pole, Alaska, Russia?????????????????
