@jo_jo_ba I know someone whose idea was stolen just like that. All he did was to meet with a potential investor, tell him the idea and hearing it'll never work. Then he read in the news that this investor is launching a start-up with this idea. Luckily the start-up failed miserably. Sometimes you must have the person with the vision and the drive or the magic doesn't happen.
