I have worked at places like this. It's only important that the meetings take place. If anything good comes out of the meetings it's a bonus.

Sounds like where I work. The morning P1/P2 calls that you might be asked to attend at the last minute...meaning NO time to prepare. So you struggle and look like a complete fool during both meetings. You also get yelled at a lot. As a PLUS, the spreadsheet they use arrives half an hour after the meeting.
