OK - pedant's half-hour coming up. Dorothy Parker attempted suicide, and was taken into hospital to be pumped out. On coming round in the operating theatre, surrounded by bright lights and with tubes coming out of her, she said "What fresh hell is this?" Not "heck" - perhaps because she wasn't a lady, but (as Alexander Woolcott put it) a cross between Little Nell and Lady Macbeth.

Who else is going to try to work the phrase 'what the fresh heck' into conversation on Monday? I know I work in a target rich environment for just this type of phrase.
